What It Means To Drive

[You can't feel it all without close examination. Sit back and close your eyes, you must (though, not now of course because you are reading). But, use what I can show you]

Listen to fresh conversations from fellow passengers

See snow fall and headlights fly by

Smell pure air
Feel the road speed underneath you

What would it feel like to hit your face on the road?

How long can you stare at a specific segment of the road?

You should be cautious with your speed at this point
Cars are a powerful being.

We have to break them like a wild stallion

Once the stallion is broken, feel the wind hit your face

Picture yourself flying through the world
Instead of wings, you have four wheels

Try to feel every bump shake the car

Now try to feel each tire hit the bumps

How small is the gap between the front tire's bump and the rear's?

There is a constant rumbleSome roads sound rough
Some roads sound pure as heaven

The rumble is music
The rumble tells you how fast you move

and it tells you how your car is feeling
In some cars, you are fortunate enough to hear the engine

Some cars purr

Some cars rip
And some zip
All cars should roar
Throaty roar reminds you of the power you have

You know it can roar louder than this
Step on the gas and make it

Do not think
Your heartbeat should begin to thump

Embrace it, knowing adrenaline flows

Your thoughts occur more rapidly

Your perception is that of a jet pilot
Always look ahead

Read surroundings like a book

Who's behind you?

A black truck? Or a police officer?
You should always know where you are

Only you have the power to control your surroundings

When you control your surroundings,

You control your safety,

And you enjoy your experience
If you can't smell your perspiration

YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG

To drive a car, is to live life on the edge
 Enjoy every trip

Even through:

snow

traffic

road rage
Be calm and collective

The car is an extension of your body

So go out and take yourself for a run
Take a friend, or go alone

With a car, you're never forlorn.
